Plum Preserve



I hate to waste things. May it be paper, water or food. Recently I told me darling husband to buy some fruits on his way back from work. He came back with a huge box of plums. This recipe came to my mind while thinking of what to do with so many of them. 



Ingredients:

Plums- Washed, deseeded and cut
Sugar- 3/4 to equal quantity of the plums
Lemon- a few drops
Cinnamon powder
Vanilla Sugar/ essence


Process:
Cook the plum and sugar together on high flame. Cooking the fruit on high flame makes sure that the fruit doesn't loose it's natural color.





Add the lemon drops, cinnamon powder and Vanilla sugar. Cook till the plums are soft and a jam like consistency is achieved.




Serve it on top of a Vanilla cake, as an ice- cream topping , in yogurt or simply have it with toasted slice of bread with butter like I did.
